CD 289.9 (CD 1182):

This tough CD was made to Fred M. Locke and John Lapp patent for a rams-horn insulator that would mount hanging down from a cross-arm (US Patent 402,752).  Brookfield was most likely the manufacturer.  This has since been moved to CD 1182 as it is technically not a pin type insulator.  Photo courtesy John & Carol McDougald.
