Glass Stand off Insulators |
Standoff insulators were used to mount high voltage electrical equipment or to support bus bars. Most stand off insulators are made of porcelain, but there are a number of glass styles.

Here is a large Corning Pyrex standoff insulator that stands just over 12 inches tall. It is marked Pyrex and with the Pyrex patent number. |
Here are two smaller glass standoff insulators also made by Corning. These are also marked Pyrex and with the Pyrex patent number. The one on the left is 8 inches tall and the right is 3.5 inches. |
