API (Australian Porcelain Insulator Pty Ltd): Australia

API originated in 1914 from the Australian Porcelain Company and was registered as the Australian Porcelain Insulator Company in 1927. The company produced high tension porcelain insulators and was located at the site of the Yarraville Woolen Mill in Melborne. In 1965 the company became a subsidary of the English company Royal Doulton and was renamed Doulton Insulators Australia Pty Ltd.
