These were found in the village of St George- de-Luzencon in the department of Aveyron. 4 of those were on L-shaped steel pins on each aide of a wooden box that was some kind of junction box for the four wires. The gauge of the remaining  wire (approx 12 Ga) suggests that the wires were for communication rather then for power.
