Bylaws Update - July/Aug 2000

 The Following changes have been approved:

• Previous Provisions: (Article-V, Terms & Elections) 

20. The Nominations Chairperson prepares a ballot which is included in the
spring (March), issue of "Drip Points." Ballots are returned to the
Nominations Chairperson.

21. Three weeks prior to the National Convention, all ballots cast and
received by that date are counted so that the election results can be
announced at the Annual Board of Directors and General Membership Meetings.

• Newly Enacted Provisions: (Article-V, Terms & Elections) 
  
  20. The Nominations Chairperson prepares a ballot which is included in the

  21. NIA Members in good standing as of February 15th in any given year in
  which elections are held, may vote. Ballots must be returned to the
  Nominations Chairperson prior to May 1st.
  
  22. Election ballots will be counted on May 1st, so that the election
  results can be announced at the Annual Board of Directors and General
  Membership Meetings.
