Activity Timeline


June 2005 NIA will consult with the Clermont, Iowa Historical Society on the insulators in their collection. Participants will also investigate the early 1900s hydro-electric power plant in the town.
2004 Bob Roehring creates insulator display for the Railroad Depot museum in Batavia, Illinois.
June 2004 Russ Frank and Rick Soller meet with Clermont, Iowa town members and discuss how NIA can assist.
2003 Committee documents insulators at the Memorial Sculpture Park near Baraboo, Wisconsin.
March 2002 NIA members planned to help inventory the Smithsonian Institution collection and see a pin-making machine off-site but a snow storm resulted in the cancellation of the trip.
Summer 2002 Donations of insulator books made to Harold Warp Pioneer Village in Minden, Nebraska.
2002 Insulator donations made to Minnetrista Cultural Center & Oakhurst Gardens in Muncie, Indiana.
