The 40th national insulator show was held in Coralville, Iowa at the Coralville Mariott Hotel and Convention Center.  Show hosts were Larry & Pat Whitlock, Dennis & Jeanne Weber and Bill & Linda Connell.  The very large show hall contained 110 sales tables and 21 excellent displays with a very high ceiling and good lighting.  Dealers reported brisk sales and there was something available for everyone from the unusual to the very rare.

The Coralville show provided both excellent accommodations insulators!  The show hall was enormous, well lit, and large enough to allow plenty of space between tables.  The sales tables were in the center with a great grouping of displays at the outer walls.  The location was great with nearby shopping and many good restaurantsAttendance was good with dealers representing just about all regions.

The awards banquet was very well attended and the food was excellent.  Dwayne Davenport surprised the guests with a piano sing-along with such hits as "Sittin' on a Pole by the Bay" and "Don't it Make Me Peacock Blue" which hadn't been heard since the Long Beach National.  Ray Klingensmith also held a seminar on hunting for threadless insulators that got high marks from all who attended.  A debt of gratitude is owed to show hosts Larry, Pat, Bill, Linda, Dennis and Jeanne for this great show!
