2013 National Show Displays

There were 20 displays at the show.  These included a mix of competitive and non-competitive displays.  Note that you can click on any picture for a larger view.

"Star (General Electric) Insulators"

This display shows the variety of colors and styles insulators marked with a star (a GE logo) that can be found.

"The Scranton Dunmore & Moosic Lakes Railroad (1902-1928)"

This Historical display shows insulators and related items from this early railroad.

"Ink and Ears"

This educational display shows primarily early classic Fred Locke porcelain with underglaze ink stamp markings or lug style ears.  It received the best of threaded porcelain award from the NIA.

"The Beginnings"

This display shows a nice variety of threadless insulators.  It received the following awards:

  • NIA Dr. Fred L. Griffin award for best of threadless 

  • CFIC Insulator Club award for the best first time exhibitor at a National award
