Vintage Insulator Information

Some of the best research material on insulators comes from the early catalogs and trade journals from the time the various insulator styles were used.  Insulators were a utility item and there were numerous trade journal articles reviewing the insulators and equipment of the times as well as insulator company advertisements and catalogs showing the marketing aspects of the early trade.  This data is very valuable to date insulators, identify what companies made which insulators, and information on where specific types were used.  Frequently there are insulator styles shown that are not known in the current hobby.
