Donations for a Silent Auction are being sought. We need all Dealers, Collectors, Exhibitors, & Clubs to consider helping us out with a donation for our Silent Auction. Don’t assume ‘someone else’ will donate... we really need YOUR help!
Fundraising goes to the Western Reserve Insulator Club – the hosting club of the show - to help defray show costs... proceeds go to defray some of the expenses of hosting a show of this proportion. Please help us and consider donating something that might be gathering dust, or maybe a nice ‘duplicate’ piece that you can part with - knowing it is going for a good cause. We are looking for donations typical of the type of things usually donated for raffles, etc. ... i.e. insulators of more than $20 in value, go-withs, and other items of interest to the collector. Your item will be prominently displayed along with other pieces on the Silent Auction tables, with it’s own table flag listing your name as the donor.
You may consign your item in our Silent Auction. We realize that it may be difficult to donate items of higher value for the Silent Auction - in this case, as an alternative, you may elect to consign an item or two in our Silent Auction. The Show collects 15% of the final sale price, you get the rest! This is limited to pieces over $50 in value, and although we would prefer ‘straight’ donations, this is an option open to you. Not only does it help to showcase your piece, it also helps us offer nicer pieces in the auction. Contact us for more details. The Silent Auction is planned for Saturday Morning. Although we will gladly take your donations all the way up until auction day, all auction donors will get a mention as Show Contributors, so please let us know if you plan on donating something by July 11.
