PPC was formed in 2001 with the combination of the Porcelain Products Corp. (USA) and Ceram group (Europe) creating one of the largest porcelain insulator manufacturers worldwide. PPC has since established Joint Ventures in Thailand, China. and Brazil. The Brazil manufacturer is Isoladores Santana.
